Sixt LCAR cars in the parking lot

Sixt LCAR

In the category Sixt LCAR the luxury class cars of Sixt are grouped. Especially particularly powerful engines and very good equipment in this category distinguish the cars of the provider Sixt. For those who would like to drive a great vehicle, we recommend this class and the car rental Sixt.

Volvo S60

The Volvo S60 is a particularly well-designed car and immediately catches the eye in the Sixt station parking lot. Sportiness and elegance are perfectly combined in Volvo’s design. The vehicle is in the meantime only available with a gasoline engine and plug-in hybrid drive. In the Sixt fleet is the vehicle with a 250 hp four-cylinder engine. In conjunction with an eight-speed automatic, the Volvo reaches 60mph in just 6.5 seconds. And that’s despite the car weighing a full 1.7 tons. Thanks to the high mass, the Swede naturally feels very good on the road. Even if you play a bit jerky with the steering at higher speeds, the Volvo doesn’t falter at all. Of course, this is also evident in the suspension comfort. Despite adaptive dampers and R-Design suspension, the set-up feels hard and sporty. But don’t worry, the front seats are still very comfortable. The seats installed in the R-Design offer very good lateral support as standard. Once you’re seated, you don’t want to get up from there. Experience has shown that the Volvo S60 is still relatively difficult to operate, but you get used to it quite quickly. Otherwise, the interior looks very chic and tidy. A lot of high-quality aluminum and leather are used. All important displays and function settings are displayed and configured via modern touchscreens. Up to 442 liters can be loaded in the trunk, so there is plenty of space for luggage. By the way, this Volvo is not built in Sweden, but in Charlston South Carolina.

BMW 330

The BMW330i is a very popular vehicle from the German manufacturer BMW from Munich. The current generation of the BMW 3 Series could be described as particularly agile, comfortable and sporty. Particularly noticeable in the BMW is the noble and precise workmanship in the interior. Everything is neatly covered down to the smallest detail. In the area of the chassis, the taut tuning is particularly noticeable. This is pure agility with the M package installed. Thanks to steering with very good response, this allows the BMW to be steered very precisely even at high speeds. The BMW330i has a full 258 hp combined in a 4-cylinder engine. It speeds up to around 60mph in just 6 seconds. A large braking system and adaptive M shock absorbers give a real sports car experience. Of course, BMW also supplies variable sport steering and differential lock in the M package. All this is offered by the BMW in the Sixt fleet. The very good voice control in the BMW is particularly pleasing, as always. This works much better in the practical test than it does in the competitors. All important driving indicators are  displayed on a fully digital instrument cluster in the BMW 3 Series.

Volvo V60

What would the Sixt LCAR fleet be without the Volvo V60, which is also available as a cross country version at the station parking lots. The V60 is one of the particularly solid cars and is considered a competitor to the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes C-Class. And no wonder, since the Swedish car’s ride comfort is very high. Almost no noise in the interior while driving and the seats are also particularly comfortable. Fine carpet, wood and many other high-quality materials make the interior of the V60 a real eye-catcher. Of course, the Volvo is also modern and brings an infotainment system with great scope. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also a must, of course. As standard, the V60 in the Sixt fleet is even equipped with WLAN hotspot. Even safety gets its fair share of attention, as a head-up display, rear-view camera and LED headlights ensure a good view of the traffic at all times. Needless to say, the V60 with automatic transmission also has a lot to offer for those who love powerful engines. The 340hp variant and plug-in hybrid powertrain push the Volvo to 60mph in just 5.5 seconds. Thanks to the particularly fast automatic and reaction to a gas push, kickdown with the V60 is especially fun.

Mercedes-Benz C300

The Mercedes C300 is actually a luxury car, since the car is pure luxury. If you get the car key of a Mercedes pushed over at the rental counter, you have almost hit the jackpot. The carmaker from Stuttgart in Germany is known above all for reliability in all its vehicles. Of course, the current C-Class also combines agility, comfort and luxury in equal measure. Not only can the suspension convince, as always, but also the noise level during fast drives. Similar to the BMW competitor, the Mercedes is extremely stable on the road. Direct and precise steering distinguishes the C300 from Sixt in the LCAR category. The 258-hp engine harmonizes perfectly with the 9-speed automatic transmission. It’s no wonder, since the Mercedes is already up to 60mph in just 5.9 seconds. The Mercedes interior is, as usual, particularly luxurious and made exclusively of high-quality materials. If you switch on the massage function on the front seats, you feel like you’re in your living room at home and want to keep the car right away. The most important functions can be conveniently controlled from the steering wheel or via the touchscreen of the infotainment system.

Cadillac CT5

The Cadillac CT5 is also considered a mid-size luxury sedan car in the LCAR car rental category at Sixt. The design is by no means particularly striking, but kept simple and elegant. Only the four exhaust pipes give a hint. However, it is a different story with the inner values. Equipped with a 360hp V6 turbo engine and a unique ten-speed automatic, the CT5 has a lot to offer. Meanwhile, there is even a CT5 (Blackwing), which unleashes about 659HP in the form of a turbo V8 drive. The V8 engine delivers a powerful 883Nm to the crankshaft. To bring this enormous force of the drive at all accurately on the road, the car is of course equipped with an all-wheel drive. In addition, a limited slip differential is also incorporated. From the factory, the Cadillac is available with 19-inch tires and the brake calipers can be ordered in a variety of colors. The LED headlights provide very good visibility when driving in the dark. At the back, the rear driver can admire a diffuser and rear spoiler. For the interior, there are three different equipment lines: Base, Medium and Top. At Sixt, a sports steering wheel with carbon and shift paddles is usually installed as well. Of course, the drivers take a seat on sports seats with massage function in the rental car.
